Root Canal Treatment: Save Your Tooth, Relieve Your Pain
Root canal treatment has an unfair reputation: in reality, the procedure relieves the pain caused by an infected or inflamed tooth, not the other way around. Most patients are surprised by how comfortable a modern root canal is, especially when performed with our laser technology.
When the soft tissue inside a tooth (the pulp) becomes infected — usually from deep decay, a crack, or trauma — it needs to be removed before the infection spreads. Dr. Ilies cleans and shapes the inside of the tooth, removes the infection, and seals it. A crown is then placed to restore the tooth's full strength and appearance.
Saving your natural tooth is almost always the preferred outcome. A treated tooth can last the rest of your life with proper care. If you've been told you need a root canal, or if you're experiencing tooth pain, sensitivity to temperature, or swelling, please call us. We'll take care of you.
